Little Benji {leukemia diagnosis}

Ben is three years old and is one of three brothers in his family. He is a kind, sweet-hearted little boy who has the most infectious smile you will ever see. His spunk and silliness has brought a lot of smiles to those who know and love him.

On November 4th sweet little Ben was diagnosed with an aggressive form of acute myelogenous leukemia. He had been sick for a couple of weeks and wasn't responding to treatments. On November 3rd his parent's, Jessi and Braden, took him into the ER and after a variety of tests it was confirmed that he had AML leukemia. Thankfully, this is a form of childhood cancer that is treatable and his prognosis for recovery is very good.

Ben will be in the hospital for at least the next four weeks as he undergoes intense chemotheropy to try and rid his little body of this horrible disease. He will also require a spinal tap and further testing to confirm that the cancer hasn't spread to other parts of his body.

A fund has been set up to help the Duncan's off-set the cost of medical bills, so they can focus on getting Ben better and not stress about how they'll pay for it. If you are able, please contribute! You can also get updates and follow Ben's progress on the fundraising site. Or you can follow his mom, Jessi, on Facebook for updates.

If any bloggers are willing to do a blog post about Ben to spread awareness, that would also be greatly appreciated! Just contact me at millimoe@gmail.com

Thank you.
